Whenever it comes time to put a trailer together, I ask myself "what do I want the viewer to 'feel' when they watch it?". After all, wedding days are full of lots of different emotions and stories. So, am I going for something upbeat and fun... or something more emotional? Maybe I'll use the couples' vows... or, a few words from the pastor or rabbi... or, maybe I'll just use a cool song that sums up the day. However, I end up doing it, I want the trailer to somehow reflect that couples' unique wedding day.
When it came time to edit Annie + Sam's trailer, it was a no-brainer. At the reception, Annie's sister had given an amazing toast that spoke of the special bond between the two sisters, as well as the "back story" of the day. With a perfect set up like that, it was up to me to find the music to compliment her heartfelt words. As luck would have it, I'd recently heard this great song by Graham Colton called "Love Comes Back Around". I'm not sure he had this subject matter in mind when he wrote it, but it fit perfectly. And, when I began to piece the trailer together, it basically edited itself. I just held on for the ride :)
Annie + Sam's day was full of many emotions and stories; this was just one. But, it's a very special one. Hope you enjoy it!
