Kim + Kirk were married over 4th of July weekend at the Inn at St. John's in Plymouth. But wait, I'm getting ahead of myself, let's get to their amazing "back story" first...
Kirk met Kim in late fall 2006 after losing his first wife to breast cancer. At the time, he was a single dad raising two daughters. K + K clicked right away (as did Kirk's two daughters and Kim) and Kirk proposed Labor Day weekend 2007. In the midst of planning their destination wedding, they found out that they were expecting twins! So, before the birth of their twin daughters, they became "legal" with a small "commitment ceremony" at St. Johns on 8.8.08. They called it that since they figured their "real" wedding would take place shortly thereafter. However, as time went on, they decided to forgo their destination wedding plans in favor of having a local wedding so all their family and friends could be there to celebrate with them. And, what better place than St. John's where they'd held their initial commitment ceremony. So, after being granted permission to have their wedding in the church (and welcoming a beautiful boy to their growing family!), their wedding day finally arrived. And, from the look on their faces, I think it was worth the wait!
Kim + Kirk: a love story like no other. Congrats you two... err, seven :)
